Question: I have recently been diagnosed and am having a hard time changing my diet. I do OK with meals, the problem is snacking. Does anyone have any recommendations for healthy snacks that will satisfy my cravings?

I'm a diabetic as well and snacking is OK-keeps your blood sugar balanced-especially if you go like 4 or 5 hours between meals. I do it because I'm hungry-- as long as you don't binge. I've learned to keep my snacks to less than 150 calories. My favorites are nuts, crackers with peanut butter or hummus. I also do fruit (I'll freeze bananas or grapes) or veggies with low fat yogurt, dressing or again, hummus. All give me a boost and hold me over. Hope that helps Eric
